Organizers & Cooperators

International Atomic Energy Agency
The IAEA is the world’s center for cooperation in the nuclear field and seeks to promote the safe, secure and peaceful use of nuclear technologies. The IAEA assists Member States in using isotope-based techniques in such areas as hydrology, environmental
studies, and agriculture, among others.
The UW Biotechnology Center is dedicated to harnessing the full potential of biotechnology for the benefit of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the University of Wisconsin System, our state, and the nation. As a leading multidisciplinary center of excellence, we support, coordinate, disseminate, and advance biotechnological innovations to maximize their impact.
In the IRMS Core, the dedicated team of scientists and researchers is at the forefront of stable isotope analysis in biotechnology and nutritional sciences. With state-of-the-art instrumentation and profound expertise, the IRMS Core strives to advance scientific knowledge, unravel biological mysteries, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in diverse fields.
Research & Academic Partners

In 1849, UW–Madison opened its doors to the people of Wisconsin. There were 17 students and six departments. Today, our university includes 13 schools and colleges. The largest is the College of Letters & Science. It’s often said that L&S provides the well-rounded education that the university’s founders first envisioned.
CRISP is the College of Letters & Science’s commitment to supporting the fluid and continuous exchange of ideas with industry, underserved communities, government, and other groups, which is needed for use-inspired research, to help researchers create successful use-inspired projects, and to sustain their current work. Without external input, our research will not be truly impactful.
Established in 1925, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) patents and licenses UW–Madison research discoveries, manages investment proceeds, and funds the University and Morgridge Institute for further scientific research. WARF fosters collaborations among researchers, investors, industry, and entrepreneurs to commercialize campus innovations.

Department of Soil and Environmental Sciences
The Department of Soil Science, recently renamed the Department of Soil and Environmental Sciences, is the oldest and likely most renowned soil science department in the USA, and perhaps even in the world. We are home to degrees in soil and environmental sciences. Our department’s research mission includes the cycling of water, energy, elements, and the sustainability of natural and managed ecosystems. Our environmental research and education focus on the solid-liquid interfaces, transformation, and fate of current and emerging contaminants in soil from industrial, urban, and agricultural sources.
Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies
The Nelson Institute values and is committed to a liberal arts and professional education, built on the premise that complex environmental issues can best be understood through familiarity with diverse perspectives and integration of the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
The Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison is a national leader in forest science and wildlife ecology research, teaching, and training. The Department offers undergraduate, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Forest Science and Wildlife Ecology.
